Difficult to restart after stall

HI all,

Still getting used to the car so apologies in advance if this is a dumb question. I have stalled the car a couple of times whilst manouvering at tickover and found it takes a couple of go's to get it started again, it usually goes something like this

Car stalls
Ignition all the way to off
Ignition back on and engine turning over, sounds like it will start but doesn't
Ignition back to off and try again, same thing
Next try the car starts as if nothing has ever happened.

All of this takes place over something like 30 secs. The times this has happened car has been at normal operating temp and no other obvious issues apart from my ineptitude with the clutch and acelerator.

Is this something I should be worried about? Car is under warranty from OPC and is a 2006 2.7 if that makes any difference.

I wouldn't worry too much about it Paul. It'll just be some sensor or somethin resetting itself. Probably all to do with fuel flow or something!

(Slight pause while someone who really knows posts a sensible answer [;)])

Mind you, the whole business of stalling is best avoided in my view. Better to rev her a bit.

I've stalled mine only a few times in 18 months of ownership. Makes me flinch when it kicks back - can't help but have visions of a strained Intermediate Shaft!! []
