Was testing at Dijon yesterday... if you've never been (like me before), I can highly recommend it as a circuit!
Absolutely marvellous... tricky enough to keep you working at the lines all day, but safe enough to be pushing it pretty hard. Was a glorified track day... Euro 450 for 3h15 of circuit time... 4 * 911 out there, an 80's turbo that had the only 2 visits of the day to the gravel trap, a 996 Cab (!), and 2 * 997 GT3s, one of which was lapping astonishingly quickly. But very quiet on the circuit, ideal.
Also just a few km from the circuit, back towards Dijon you have the Stand21 factory and shop. I will own up at this point that Stand 21 is connected to my wifes family, but they sell the best gear and have been chosen by Porsche to do all their race gear and the Martini line... some really cool kit.
As a final tempter... the circuit can be privately rented for the entire day for Euro 6,500 I think.... and there is a Michelin 1 star restaurant that does a stellar lunch menu (I am told) in the village outside the gate... now if there were 2 groups of 10 of us if we played nicely with another register...
Did I mention you are in the heart of Burgundy or that you have to drive past the Champagne houses or the old circuit at Reims on the way there from Blighty?
