Dilemma .. 'Cayman GT4 or manual 996 X50 turbo'

I would have thought you will have to wait and see if you love driving the GT4 as much as your Turbo before you can make such a decision.......

I'd agree with the last reply, I have no doubt that you love to drive the turbo but the GT4 is another kind of fast car, the handling will be much better and it is another animal entirely from the 996 even the turbo. Wait until you've driven it.

I've covered some 22,000 miles in my 2004 manual X50 turbo from new, and love driving the car, but as you can tell, the car does not get used much. I've got a Cayman GT4 due for delivery in October, and my dilemma is whether to keep both, or make a choice. My ever increasing garage makes it hard to justify yet another motor ! Suggestions welcomed .. cheers

If you can keep both then that is the way to go as your turbo sounds a gem and will for ever increase in value so it does not matter if you only do 100 miles pa as it won't cost you to keep it.

I wanted to keep my Spyder but funds only allow me to have one car so a GT4 choice was made!

what else is in your garage you could get shot of could be the answer!

Ditch the 996 of course...! Well, you are on the Cayman forum Jeremy, so what did you expect..?

More seriously, I'd agree with the other posters' comments.

Good luck with your difficult decision.

Jeff

Cars from a different era and the Cayman will be soon sweet on the handling.

I know which I would be thinking of keeping - but I am not fortunate to have the potential for both!!!!

I'm taking delivery of the GT4, and will assess the car before making a decision as to whether 'its for keeps' or 'for selling'.
