I've planned and booked a 12 day trip into Germany in July/August, via the Hull - Rotterdam ferry, Oberhausen, Stuttgart for a few days ( museum again with the wife), then on to Berchtesgarden for a couple of days before heading back to Trier and onto the tunnel, going by the route planner its a minimum of 2000 miles door to door.
My initial plan was to do it in the S2, then my 15 year old daughter decided she would like to come along, she is taller than my wife, so my wife says she will sit in the back.
My dilemma is on several fronts.
Firstly, is it feasible for a grown woman to do 12 days, 2000 miles in the back of a 944 ?
Secondly, it would nudge the mileage of the car out of the 60's and into the 70k miles, in one journey.
Thirdly, would I be happy leaving the car in hotel car parks.
Fourth, what if it rains, it will get wet....and dirty []
Who said these cars were a fun hobby ............I'm taking the Ibiza....or maybe the Land Cruiser []
