Hi, just had my car MOT'd at Long March Motors Ltd in Low March Daventry 01327 311800. His normal cost is £37 (which is cheap for our area) I asked if he would give discount to Porsche Club (always worth asking) and he said he would give 10% off his normal price!! I have no affiliation to the garage , just looking to reduce cost from £50 my normal MOT man is now charging. If going to use ask for Andy (owner) and say Porsche Club member and ask for the discount.
Andy is a friendly guy who is sensible in approach and works all day Saturday so good to get car done when quiet
If post not acceptable to moderator please delete. i will raise at region meeting next time i go

For those in the MK area, just had mine done last Sat at MK MOTs in Kiln Farm

£35 which seemed reasonable, but the main thing is the guys there seem genuinely interested in / sympathetic to classic cars!

Just to let others know that Kwik-Fit is currently doing the MoT test for £35.

Of course, the MoT is a statutory test where the current maximum fee is £54.85. The test is supposed to take approximately 40-45 minutes. Therefore someone charging £35 or thereabouts is simply doing the job at a chargeout rate of ca£50/hour.

Always good to shop around (even with our expensive cars because the test is 'non-invasive') but if you want to avoid any suspicion of a garage wanting to do your MoT in order to get servicing work (not really likely for us, I guess) then use Council run Test centres as these simply don't do repairs.
