Discout for PCGB at Wheel Specilaist?

Hi,

Has anyone got a discount for PCGB recently as I dropped off a set of wheels and was told that it had expired in 2009 and needs renewed.

Is this the one in East Kilbride? There was no concept of expiry - just a gentlemans agreement that Brian Woods arranged to get PCGB members a good discount, and people got this right through 2012......

It was a discount i set up with this branch owner John Grove and as long as you said you where in PCGB he would offer a discount it was not a national thing .. and no time limit he has had loads of business through me and not just PCGB
If you dont ask you will never receive .

I used them in 2011 and John Grove was there then, made a good job of my GT3 wheels

The Wheel Specialist is a franchise, John Grove owns the franchise in East Kilbride. I am sure they used to be listed in Porschefile booklet you get with Club mag. The club may have had a discount set up nationally but the individual franchisee's are not aware. I spoke with John about discount when I was looking to get wheels done and he offered discount.

I also spoke to him about an open day/demo day for the club, but iI never pursued it.

He came along to the Porsche in the Glen we organized last year and i am sure if asked he would do an open day say a Sat morning .
We have been asked by South Lanarkshire Leisure to do this event again this year but have to get a date that will suite both clubs and not clash with our diary of events.
Possibly plan a super car type event it is just an idea at present so watch this space.Gordon and Barry get out the Angel Wax [].

Brian, please note the date of the concours per last PCGB email will change as Steve Rose cant make the event, (should have s location and date in the next few weeks hopefully) will let you know.
