Dissapointed Exhaust/Engine note.

Hi ya I had a PSE upgrade on my 2007 Cayman s which makes a fair bit of difference the exhaust is linked to the Sport button on mine I press Sport and turn off the PASM.... I did test drive a 58 plate Cayman which had a PSE button but it was not a Gen 2 Got the upgrade for £1446.00 all in, however, much to my disappointment this did exclude the Sport tail pipe which I sourced else where.

Test drove a gen 2 2.9 Cayman last weekend - it was similarly quiet below 4k rpm. Great car in all other respects, so placed an order anyway :) Now have 2 months to decide whether to order the PSE.

Hi Pete, do you mean it didn't include the tail pipe?

This isn't a rant thread, but I have to say I'm really dissapointed with the exhaust/engine note of my new gen 2 Cayman, unless I'm above 4k it really sounds pants, if I have the drivers window down, the air rush is so loud I can't hear the engine and with the windows up, it too quiet.

I've read with some interest the posts on PSE, but it doen't look to be an option for my car, or at least not yet.

yeh..... they re-fitted the one that I had on originally the sport tail pipe is £250.00 extra.... I managed to get a Stainless one for less and infact I was so impressed that I have bought a few more to sell on pics attached
