DIY A/C charging

I've recently seen a DIY A/C charging kit (can't remember where exactly). Has anyone seen such kits and have any experience of them? I realise that they are probably a load of rubbish but I am just interested to hear from anyone who has used them.

Recharging a system should include much more than firing in some R134a.... You will have no idea how much pag oil is in the system for just one reason.... Having said that, most places that use a machine to regas do not have a clue, and also do just as much damage.

Whats worse is some of the monkeys who do R12 conversions which end up being someone elses nightmare
