DME Chip upgrade

Type 911 in Kent are currently selling DME replacement chips for £80 + VAT . These are a copy of the Ruf chip. Has anyone heard anything about the Type 911 chip ? If not I guess i'll be the guinea pig !! Are these types of things easy to fit ?
