DME temperature sensor

Can anyone tell me if the DME temp sensor is the one situated to the front of the engine block with the blue coloured electrical connector attatched to it.Am i right in assuming this tells the dme of the water temp which inturn affects the amount of fuel/air sent to the engine on warm-up?
Is there also another water temp sensor on the 944 engine block also?
