DME Variant coding plug

Anyone care to have a go at this one....I am running out of boards and rescources to find the answer.

The 968 DME uses a DME Variant Coding plug to tell the DME where on the Earth it is supposed to be relating to engine set up and more importantly to me whether it has a CAT or not.

Anyone know the part no's for the different variations and which is which, Cat or no Cat......

Thanks

Tim

I do not have your answer, I am intrigued why you are asking though.

Do I assume you have posted this question on 968.net and/or Rennlist, someone may be in a better position to answer it there.

Correct me if I am wrong but I understood that all 968's had a cat, if you are taking it off for racing or such like then Gordon at TeamGVR or Colin at 9m can probably help you.

all the best

I know on the the 944 T there are 2 links in the loom just outside the ECU one is about 3 inches up from the ECU the second is around 8 inches up almost in the engine bay. Not sure exactly how they work, but Guru (Promax) chips use them to alter settings in the chips for high octane and different injectors etc.
