would you recommend replacing DME on my 11yrs old c2 tip? I can't find any air leaks, and tickover is still 1000rpm. If so who would you recommend buying it from.

DME replacement is definitely not the next step. I would get a diagnostic check dome by someone who knows what they are doing with a Porsche tester. They will be able to analyse sensor values which will help point you in the direction.

Edit - Sorry - I just noticed your car is a 1999 C2, which will be mechanical throttle. It would definitely be worth cleaning the idle control valve and throttle body first.
