Do 993's without sunroof exist?

Thinking of getting a 993 or early 996. I'm not keen on sunroofs (never use them and they just reduce the headroom and might leak). I thought they were an option on 993s, but every advert I look at, there is a sunroof. Is that correct ?

STILL thinking Diesel [:)]. Stop dithering and get the cheque book out, it'll be winter soon!!

sunroof was part of c16 spec for UK except RS versions.

you may find a non c16 imported rhd car without one fitted though

Thanks - that explains it then ... yes still dithering ... been too busy to get out and try one to see if the 993 is for me.

Agree. All UK cars I have seen have sunroofs. However I am willing to be proved wrong - has anyone got a UK spec coupe without a sunroof ?

You are thinking of a Porsche, er, not something else with an aftermarket sunroof?... Reduce the headroom? Might leak? Not on a 993.

Go on take the plunge and get yourself a fantastic car!

Although I can see his point ... they are bl**dy noisy plus lots of buffetting at anything over 30mph (and yes my little thing sticks up like it should) and I never ever use mine. If I could have bought one without I would have (but never seen a c16 car without one).

Ian.

Complete waste of time, money and space in my opinion. Sunroofs are one of the biggest casuses of squeaks, rattles, customer complaints and warranty returns in general.

HHmmnn ... don't think it was part of C16 spec. Mine certainly has 650 option listed, I guess C16 could have included manual sunroof (650 = power sunroof), but I've never seen one of those !

Not that it matters much, nearly all UK cars def have sunroofs .. !

cheers, Maurice [;)]

Mine too has C16 spec and sunroof listed seperately on the options label. However - do we know what was part of the C16 spec ?? I have heard it was windscreen tint and (obviously) right hand drive, but I would be interested to know what else.
