Do I show to much respect for my GTS

76k miles and a fantastic condition GTS (PDK)
I know that I do not obtain the full performance from my car given that I rarely go over 2.5k revs and gently cruise wherever I go and hold the upmost respect for the 13 yr old car.
I only use it a couple of times a week and never feel the need to use Sport or Sport + modes or if it is raining.
TBH I love and cherish the car due to the aesthetics and its the not wanting to stress the car that keeps me chilled when driving.
I intend keeping this model now as the later models are far to refined imo.
Question is -Could this driving behavior present any problems as time goes on in terms of engine or components due to my not "giving it some" for want of a better phrase ?

As long as the car is warmed up before hand, I can't see any issues with 'cleaning the pipes' every once in a while. You may find that it runs a little sweeter after too.

Use the performance the vehicle was designed for. Mechanical devices tend not to thrive when under-used. Maintain it regularly and give it some stick when appropriate. 👍🏼😆
Regards,

Clive

Fear not CWC, you are not alone in that you "love and cherish" your GTS.

After 12 years of owning my GTS, I still gain enormous pleasure from driving my car with precision and care, enjoying its design and engineering qualities from Lane 1 of the motorway and then, only once thoroughly warmed and when conditions allow, reminding myself what a fantastic car it is.

I've just returned from a terrific trip to Le Mans where we met multiple GTS enthusiasts and the car proved the perfect partner in every situation. I saw some beautiful cars that were clearly highly prized, but for me, I only had eyes for one - my own.

Hope to see everyone at Brooklands Porsche Day this Sunday 30th June.
