Hi,

I have been fiddling with my S2 over Christmas and think I might have a problem, but am not sure? (Its not serious - you may have guessed)

The problem (more of an irritation) is that the ultrasonic alarm relay clicks to detect movement even when the car is switched on. It doesn't set off the alarm but I would have thought it should be totally inactive when the car ignition is on..? You have test by waving your hand in front of the sensors (which are by the back windows) and listening carefully...

Does anyone else have this happen in theirs?

sorry will, cant help other then to say that my immob/alarm [cobra] seems to have a mind of its own although its never let me down [touching massive piece of wood!!], i believe it would be an idea to consult an auto-electrical specialist, if like me you dont/unable to do your own "spannering", regards jason p

I had an expensive car alarm in the 80's that did this. I cant remeber the make but it was apparently exactly how they did work. Im not even going to say what car it was on , it's tooo embarrasing .
As it happens I used to fit house alarms in the early 80's and the sensors did exactly the same thing, if you put your ear to them they clicked as the little red light showed you moving even when the alarm was off and you were at home.
( extra useless bit of info there) [:D]
