Dodgy key fob - has anyone bought a complete new fob?

Hi everyone, I think that one of my 991 key fobs is dodgy as it goes through batteries mega quickly, ie weekly.
I on the spare key which seems OK.

It looks like i need a new spare key, if so, what is involved as it would reuire the internals as well as body shell?
How do you code the key to the car or is this something that a Porsche specialst would need to do via software?

Not exactly the same but, I’ve just had to replace the key fob head of my 987 Boxster key, the blade is moved across from the old key in this case. The part’s full price was £285 inc vat, £245 after discount. Bristol OPC then wanted another £210 labour for programming. I ended up buying the part from the OPC then took it to an independent for programming who didn’t charge me as he already had the car in for some other work. Once he had the necessary codes from Germany it took him 5 mins to programme the new fob & swap the blade over.
