Does anyone know this Clubsport?

it's been for sale for some time - the seller has been slowly reducing the price, IIRC it started at around £13,500

IMO the yellow LHD CS on PH looks like the best example available at present - although photos can be deceptive, so given the age and the mileage of these cars a professional inspection would be a worthwhile investment

good luck with your search

Thanks David.

I am in touch with the owner of the yellow one - bit of a pain as the car is in N Ireland.

If as described does the price seem about right in your opinion? Sorry to ask basic questions but I am a 968 virgin and run a GT3 at present.

Thanks

Mark

Look on the bright side it would probably have sold by now if it was in the UK!

Flights are cheap and Hartech can probably confirm service history.

I know which one I would choose.

The price seems fair - provided the sevice history stacks up (which I'm sure it will), it's an original panel car and it's got no previous with HPI etc

The only major expense I can envisage, arises if you wish to regularly use the car on the track as it doesn't appear to have the Mo30 goodies nor an LSD. Retro fitting these could cost several £k+

If the car is purely for the road it will probably need little significant expenditure as it looks as though it's had a fair bit of money invested to date.

Cheers

Thanks David - I want an LSD, and am expecting to have to renew suspension (prob KWv3) as I will be using car for track work. Just want to get a car that has everything else - fuel / brake lines and cam belts done etc etc - done.

Would be wise to put aside 2k (not including upgrades) for contingency, even if the history checks out.

If I were building a track car and planning major mods, I would start with a Sport as (IMO) the significant premium you pay for the CS badge is only justified if you keep the car mostly OEM spec.

Have a friend with a 968 CS, has been in his long term ownership since 1998, not quite reached
100k miles yet, Guards Red/ non Decal car, Silver Wheels, Proper Lightweight Seats,
Proper proper car, Has taken one or two awards at Club concours events here in Scotland.
If anyones in the market for one let me know and i can put you intouch.

Should say its not an M030 car, so no LSD but brakes have been updated,
Charles (chfs911) knows this car very well also and am sure can vouch for its Authenticity

Cheers Al

I viewed that car in Sheffield about a year ago. It's not in the best condition from what I remember. Trim was badly fitted, cracked front bumper and rust around window. If you live more then a few miles away I wouldn't bother. The previous owner I believe is a well known person to the owner of Spurr classics and swaps his cars about often. The car even with low miles can only be worth 8k ish.

Thanks Al, - an oil man by any chance?
I am very interested. I think I may have found a very good Sport, but I really hanker after a CS.
Cheers
Mark
