Does Merlin Porsche at Nottingham Still exist?

Hi Gents,

I have recently purchased a 964 C4 which was imported to Australia 7 years ago. It was originally sold by Merlin Porsche in Nottingham in 1990 and spent most of its time in the UK. I'm trying to contact them for some information but can't find them on the internet? Do they still exist, have they changed names or gone under?

Cheers
Scott

Scott,

I've no specific knowledge of Merlin, but a quick look on Google reveals that they were a main Porsche dealer in Nottingham around that time. Porsche have since gathered virtually all of the main dealerships under it's own umbrella as "Porsche Centres" and I would guess there's more than a good chance that Porsche Centre Nottingham might know more about this issue. Their e-mail address is info@porschenottingham.co.uk and it might be worth asking them.

Regards

Dave

Merlin was the name of the Porsche garage in Nottingham up to 02/03? they moved to their current location and were rebranded like everyone else as a "Porsche center",they were if i remeber correctly owned by the Pendragon group,There are people still there staffwise from back when it was called Merlin. If you are are after records of your car i wouldn't hold out too much hope, when i bought an old car back that i used to own in the early nineties that i used to have serviced there i asked if they still had records that had been subsequently lost and was dissapointed.Best of luck though you might be lucky.

Thanks gents, have emailed Porsche at Nottingham. Will let you know if I get a response. Also there are 3 previous owners in the UK of my 964 but I can't seem to find them on any white pages web search. What search is best to try and contact them from Australia? I have their names and addresses from the service/owners manual.

Cheers Scott

If you have the address drop them a line - if not log onto the DVLA web site - I think they will be able to help in your search for the previous owners address detail.

Good luck with the search.[;)]

Merlin were part of the Pendragon Group, which is now owned by Stratstone, and of course is now called Porsche Centre Nottingham - but the contnuity exists.
