Does the Targa rattle?

I'm thinking of changing my 996 C4 coupe for a 996 Targa. I fancy more "air" this summer, but don't like the look/ shape of the full convertible. I've not yet driven a Targa - are they any good, or does the glass roof make the whole thing rattle and wobble? Advice, comments welcome.

Yes ,they CA rattle ,but with a little well placed foam strip you can usually eradicate them . It is important to know all the bits involved and to get some silicone based grease and spray. I have had two targas and really enjoyed them. One of the real boons is the hatch back . They weigh a bit more than the coupes and they don't come with sports suspension I think ,but that will make the roof rattle more. They tend to be very well specced though.

Also check for water leaks behind the back seats and in the footwells.

If the car is kept in a garage permanantly, suggest giving it a drowning with a hose pipe before handing over the money.
