Hi Everyone
Region 8 has had an invite by the promoters of the MASTERS HISTORIC FESTIVAL, DONINGTON PARK "" 3rd and 4th September to create a small display of cars in the Car Clubs Diplay Area.
If anyone is not going to the National Event and would like tickets/passes etc to the Donington Event (Sat or Sun or both) or any more information please let me know at R8@porscheclubgb.com
The space will be very limited so it will be on a first come first served basis
Cheers
Tom

HI All

As this clashes with the 50th event for the Club it would seem innappropriate to advertise this event on this forum. We have supported Donnington in the past, but the Club should come first in this instance. After all a lot of Members are spending a lot of their time on this event for the enjoyment of the Membership as a whole.......SO COME ON SUPPORT YOUR CLUB.

Have fun

Paul Kelley

Hi Helen
Thanks for the offer but this will only be a few cars, with no gazebo, watching the racing.
Cheers
Tom

Grow up Paul, not everyone does one thing and the "Club" has no qualms about organising events in competition to local ones.

I have a spare free ticket and vehicle pass for either the Sat Sun or both for a Porsche driver.
If anyone is interested please let me know asap
Cheers

Phew, pleased to be in Scotland for this one! Total911 forum said the club had bad attitude, my point would be to recognise that there are so many demands on time and wishes that life is too short for this spat which frankly seems a little bit petty. Gosh, I even spoke to an XK120 owner once and learnt all about the spare spark plug rack in the engine bay for the Alpine Rally stages where the mix was leaner. And my wife will talk handbags with anyone! Does anyone else wind the windows down when a Porsche goes past? Just have fun!

Thanks very much for the tickets to a great day on Saturday.
Good to catch up with Tom and Kerry and to meet some new guys.

Standing on the pit lane wall when those F1 cars were howling past was a real buzz even if I had to retire after about 4 laps for the sake of not having permanent ear damage.

I got to see some great races, the high powered sports cars were very impressive as were the prototypes. I saw a couple of races which had 911 RSR's on the track and later chatted to Paul Howells about his car niggles in the garages. Great day.

(Although our friend in the Ford Falcon did not have a very good race due to the very wet track first thing in the morning)
