Just wondering if anyone else has booked to go on the evening session at Donington next week. It is on the Monday ( 7th ).Always nice to see a group of RS's!

And don't miss Monday 28th July (evening), at Donington once again. This ones with ''Trackdays''.

Both of the above are open pit lane and cost about ÂŁ120 each.

See ya there?! [;)][:)]

So................I wonder how the proposed location of the 2010 British GP will affect trackday prices at Donny......

Turned out to be a great evening...weather was dry for the first two hours and then it rained heavily (again!). I took this a an opportunity to test out the ability of my Toyos in the wet and I was certainly impressed by the results. I would say that they are a great all round track biased tyre, if that is not a contradiction in terms.
ChrisW turned up in his new Porsche ( yes another one Chris!) and kindly gave me some very helpful tips on my lines. I offered him a drive of my car as I am always interested in other peoples opinions on my cars handling and set-up ( and newly aquired power increase thanks to Wayne Schofield!). Chris jumped at the opportunity and gave good reports on my car.I value Chris's opinion as he has owned and driven several 964 RSs along with many other examples of the Porsche marque.
I was given a few px laps in my friend Glenn's GT3. Until then I had never actually been in a water cooled 911 and I must say ( dare I[:-] ), I thought it was fantastic! The speed and noise of those things are incredible. Are these cars perhaps the next stage on after owning a 964RS? Anyway...

Don't forget Monday 28th at Donington ( evening ) with "Trackdays". See ya there?[;)]

Oh by the way Chris...handy piece of kit isn't it...that duck tape[;)][:D][:D][:D]

Prob. chuck em up to silverstone TD prices!

Apologies for the delay Matt, been busy.

It was quite an experience ending up being the last car on Donnington in pouring rain --- and somewhat surreal that it wasn't mine. A great opportunity to get a quick impression of yours and so I owe you a drive in the Clubbie ! Yours ?, nice and supple, powerful, a feelsome car --- and no stress in keeping up with the GT3MkII. What more could you ask for ?

The water cooled cars. Having just exchanged my GT3RS for an --- X50 996 Turbo (ducks) --- for me in terms of thrills on the track the 964RS Clubbie outplayed the GT3RS, and I am hoping on the road that the GT3RS will be outplayed by the Turbo. We shall see.

Paul, who is the other side of this exchange will now be happily exploring on track, the point beyond that where the Turbo becomes "floppy" --- as it must.

Fun!

Dave at Strasse says I need to try the Turbo on track !! Then when I have finished the brakes off, he can fit some more!!

July 28th --- is a very interesting idea --- but after 25/26/27th at Silversone and an overseas trip on the 29th and 30th --- the only way I could do it is by driving to Luton airport via a track day at Donnington. Dare I ?
