On the weekend 30th Apritl/1st may there will be a Historic Festival at Donington Park Racetrack and we are having a club presence there
As the first meeting of the Midlands branch of PCGB was held at the Redgates Lodge (at the side of the racetrack) it will also compliment our 50th anniversary celebrations.
If you are interested in attending the event please post on this the R8 thread or email me. R8@porscheclubgb.com
This will give us an idea of how much space etc. will be needed
There is a possibility of the club members doing some parade laps.
Details of the event so far are;
The historic racing grids, to include:
Group C Le Mans cars
JD Classics Challenge races for Group A Touring Cars
Stirling Moss Trophy for pre-'61 sportscars
Formula Junior FIA Lurani Trophy
1000km race for pre-'73 sports-racing cars
RAC Woodcote Trophy for pre-'56 sportscars
Motor Racing Legends Pre-War Sports Car Series
HSCC Historic Formula
The racing will cover the '30s to the '80s, with stunning Group C Le Mans sportscars, Porsche 917s and Ferrari GTOs, Bentleys, Bugattis and Alfa Romeos of the pre-War scene "" plus plenty more besides.
