Hi Everyone
We have booked a club presence at the Donington Historic Festival for 2015 and requested out usual spot in the infield at Redgates Corner
The booking code for reduced price admission and a pass to allow you and your Porsche to join us in field is PCGBDHF15

We need a little help over the weekend. Kerry and I are away until Sunday evening but we will be attending on Monday and will pack away.
Mark and Maureen Embrey have kindly offered to help set up and help out on Saturday.

Initially we need someone with a tow bar on their car that can take the small camping trailer onto the site on Friday p.m.and help with tent erection. (it takes 4 people)
Volunteers to attend the site to make up the team 4 or so on Friday pm.

Saturday we need car parkers that can be on duty for an hour so during the morning. Regular attenders often help out anyway so its an easy job.
Sunday can be little more hectic with upwards of 150 Porsches to line up but usually quiet by lunchtime therefore car parkers that can volunteer for an hour or so.

We will have teas and coffees available in our tent therefore someone happy to keep an eye the table.

Please contact me if you can help out especially which day and times you will be available.
Many thanks
Tom Fisher

Donington Historic Festival 2/3/4 May 2015

2 - 4 May, 2015

Donington Historic Festival - Donington Park, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, May 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2015.

Since its conception 5 years ago our region has organised the PCGB presence at this festival, we have our own large dedicated parking area on the in field at Redgates corner. Sunday is usually the busiest day with approximately 150 Porsches on show. The infield also contains 50 or more car clubs displaying their members cars. A huge amount of other entertainments will be on offer apart from the terrific circuit racing. Our stand will have special displays, refreshments and a warm welcome, you will need to be in Porsche to park in our area, but always happy to see and refresh members without their cars. There are many hotel and B&B's available locally owing to the airport being close by

With close-fought racing every day, over 400 historic racing cars spanning seven decades, historic rally car and karting action and a "˜living motoring museum' created by dozens of car clubs displays "" plus a host of other attractions "" exhilaration and entertainment is guaranteed, whether you buy a ticket for one, two or all three days! On each day of the Festival gates open at 07.30am and the circuit activity starts at 9.10am, finishing at around 6.30pm.

The provisional timetable will be announced early in 2015. Members of car clubs registered to attend the event benefit from a two-for-one ticket offer on advance tickets when they quote their unique club code at time of booking (deadline Saturday, April 25th), and, at the time of booking, will be asked to request the number of infield passes they require, allowing them to join the other cars on display in their club's dedicated infield parking area, to create a fantastic exhibit for all spectators to enjoy. Children aged 15 and under (accompanied by an adult) get in for free.

Ticket type

Booking Fee
£20 Saturday, Sunday or Monday single day ticket
£1
£32 Saturday + Sunday or Sunday + Monday 2-day ticket
£1.60
£45 3-day weekend ticket
£2.26
So two Saturday tickets bought using a car club two-for-one offer code will incur a £1 total booking fee and therefore cost £21.00 (i.e. £10.50 per person) plus the transaction fee. The transaction fee is a one-off post and packaging cost for the total order, and that is the same whether a member is buying one pair of tickets or 25 pairs of tickets. The transaction fee is £1.95 per order for first class post and £6.40 for registered post. So the total cost for those two Saturday tickets bought using a car club code and sent first class post will be £22.95. Your members will be able to choose their preferred method of postage at the checkout.

Ticket Despatch - about three weeks before the event.

Hi Tom
FYI
Have just tried the "˜hotline' number for tickets and it just goes dead, after you choose to be put through to make a booking.
Intend to be there (with Manjit) for the Sunday, so can assist for a while.

Hi Paul
I can only guess the problem with the phone booking is their end, give it a while and if you still have a problem, let me know and I will contact the organisers
Thank you for the offer of help on Sunday morning - it is much appreciated.
Cheers
Tom
