Donington trackday - Mon August 31st

I could be tempted [:D] and I can do Mondays too. I did say I wasn't going to do another crashzone day, but I suppose I should give them the benefit of the doubt one more time (especially at that price).

Looks like one of the last opportunities to drive the old circuit...

I'd book it on Tuesday if I were you Peter [;)]

- just my own experience with boosted cars Peter [:D] (maybe I shouldn't try to do 2 track days in one day? )

- I also had a spectacular engine failure in a turbocharged V6 Sierra at Donington many years ago & left a thick smokescreen halfway round the circuit [:(]

Do you know if they do half day's? I'm struggling for holiday this year (only 2 and a half day's left).

Ah, hadn't appreciated it was a bank holiday! yes, we still get them....at the moment at least.

Holidays are no longer what they used to be thanks to Blackberry's. My customers operate 24/7 and they expect me to as well. I certainly don't get paid 24/7 that's for sure.

Hi All,

I did the Donington day (with Trackzone) on August 14th. It was well organised and a good day.

Regards,
Andrew

That's good to know Andrew.
I do wonder if the standard of driving is worse during the winter ones when they're even cheaper!

Excellent day yesterday - very good driving (from most) and no stoppages at all in our sessions.

Had some good tussles with a mate in a stripped E36 M3 - we were very closely matched over a lap, I had more grip, but he had more straight line speed & could pull away quite easily on the back & pit straights.

That might be the last time I drive Donington - I have severe doubts about their ability to host the GP next year, and am worried that we'll end up with a half-finished circuit and a derelict building site...Not much signs of progress yet, just lots of earthworks.

I was there on Friday and they were working very hard! They stripped half the interior of the place in half a day.

Was with a couple of the 968 guys, and a few picks are on Photobucket A9XXC Donnington
