Don't mention Spa --- and other Track Days !

Matt, sorry [:D]

Anybody planning to partake of the PCGB:

Donnington Park -- July 6th -- Quiet but 98dB drive by? --- If so this seems to broadly equate to the 105dB static at Oulton ---

Silverstone (venturing south and new to me !) -- July 28th

Croft -- August 19th

Oulton Park -- November 3rd

The list of PCGB track days is shortening, they do seem to be good value based on track time, car density ad fun ! --- and Stee probably needs to know how popular they will be ?

I'll definitely be doing the Oulton one and hopefully Donington (I presume it's definitely on as there has been doubt for a while?).

It is good to see that some of us will supporting our club here in the UK! After all, this is the Porsche Club of GREAT BRITAIN's forum!!!![8|]

I'll be at some of those.

Looking forward to seeing some proper RS's at the track - betting bored of tripping over GT3s and...... GT2s!

Not in an RS but I'll be looking to do both Croft and Oulton since they look like good value - would love to do Donington but I don't think my car will be quiet enough.

Talat, it would be great to meet you [;)] --- everybody can be RS in spirit [:)]

P.S. 98dB drive by isn't as demanding as it sounds -- equates broadly to 105dB static at Oulton ?

Make sure you come along to Donny...even if it is only for a few px laps pal!

Cheers chaps - I've booked the day off and so I'll be down there either driving or spectating :)

I contacted the Club Office and they confirmed that it's 98db drive-by but reckon that equates to around 100db static. I've been told that my car is around 102db static with its bungs fitted - will probably arrange a noise test before booking to be certain.

Cheers,

Talat.

I guess the office is being conservative on their estimates which is no bad thing as they don't want to end up being accused of giving misleading information. However, I'm more with Chris' estimate because mine is 102 db static and I've not had a problem with driveby at Donington so far.....maybe it's because I'm slow [:D]

If yours is 102 static then you will sail through! My RS was 104.5 static and pi33ed it at Donny!

Now I'm worried that I may not get past the noise Gestapo ... 104dB ... static ...

When I say I pi33ed it Chris, I mean a piece of pi33 ie a piece of cake! Don't forget Chris, I am from Barnsley![;)]

OK , in the spirit of supporting the PCGB trackdays and publicising attendance , have now booked for 2 back to back days - July 6 at Donington and July 8 at Goodwood .
Had to decide which weapon to choose for which , on the basis of previous experience the 964RS as prepared by SpeedService got the vote for Donington

The 911E with its 'silent running' tailpipe extension will pack its bags after a brief holiday in sunny Cheshire and head back down south for Glorious Goodwood

A different language, and only 30 miles between us [:D]

Thanks Matt, 'got away with it again !!

ATTENTION! DONINGTON ON MONDAY 6TH JULY NOW OFFICIALLY CANCELLED![&o]

Received letter from Steve (Kevlin) today...perhaps the new price increases at Dony are too great for most to stomach. This is no fault of our Club...it just seems that now Dony is going host the GP that we now have to pay GP prices. Is any circuit worth £300 per day? Who knows?

...and don't even think of saying Spa you barstools![]

[:D][:D]

Just received my letter too. Not a happy bunny! []

My letter is from Paul Grainger and says it's because of the low uptake and they couldn't risk losing money.

Not sure at the moment of whether to take their offer of doing Silverstone on the 28th instead and saving 45 quid in the process. Seems a bit long to wait though.[&:]
