I spoke to them last week about retrimming front seats, next slot for work is Oct 2017! Busy peoplE, I'll ask them about the cappings

I spoke to one of their trimmers when he visited the club stand at the Festival of Speed. As you say, they are booked for the forseeable future for work, but they can supply most parts off the shelf for diy fitment

door cappings for 3.2 are impossible to find
or you will pay a fortune for them if you are lucky enough to see them available.
The capping is a a one piece mould (aluminiumsheet/sponge/vinyl or leather cover)
It has not been reproduced by Porsche classic.
South bound will tell you he can sell you some vinyl to re-cover it but cannot repair your original.
The split is probably in the aly part (like mine)
They are not too warped so I just live with the split.

There are two different types of door cappings used on 3.2s. Cars with central locking, available from sometime mid '85, have an extra hole next to the indicator button that takes a small indicator light. Cars without central locking do not have this and the cappings are the same as used in an SC.
