Door card removal procedure

I've seen a few tech articles and other posts that assume you start by just knowing how to remove the inside furnishings from the door (to get at stuff inside door like the central locking unit etc).

I can find a few screws but suspect some of them only hold things onto the card rather than the card onto the door. I also suspect that removing the screws is not the entire story.

Is there a standard way to remove the door card?

From Memory:-

1 Remove the door pocket - about 4 screws around the lower edge and one under the flap.

2 The Pull Handle needs to be removed and is held in by 3 torex bolts - two in the middle and one upper.

3. The door opening rod needs to be removed from the inside door opening lever - pull the lever and grasp the rod , release the pressure on handle and you can remove the rod from captive slot.

4 I think you can then spring the door card from the clips starting at bottom and rotate away from door till you can pull it from upper slots at the top.

Hope this helps.

Don't forget the electric window switches. They pull out fairly easily from a thin metal surround attached to the door card. Then unplug the wiring block from the back of the switch. A tad fiddly to refit but straightforward even so.

When undoing the door pocket there are about four screws the same size in lttle washer caps, whilst the one at the back is larger that goes into the arm rest retaining bracket. There is also a flat head philips screw which is visible lifting up the lid of the door pocket, it screws into the door handle.

There was me thinking there would be a "lift and turn and it's out" move I could make!

Thanks - will try out advice above. I think I have the classic problem of sound dampening coming unstuck inside door.
