Door guard lights

Has anyone experienced problems with the "door guard lights" on their 997?

Mine have taken to impersonating Christmas Tree Lights, switching themselves on and off whilst on the move for no reason whatsoever.

Is it an easy DIY fix (not simply talking the bulbs out), or am I at the mercy of the OPC?

Sounds like a broken wire to me.
I think the 997 is a bit prone for it in the door wiring somewhere.

Never had the problem but sounds like moisture to me...?
