Door Handle snag...

My internal door handle lever keeps coming away from the the metal bar that releases the door catch......sorry for the none use of "technical" terms....It is easy to replace with the long nose pliers however, it still occasionally comes away. Everthing looks intact platstic grommit etc and nothing appears damaged.

Any ideas?
 
The metal bar should insert into a nlon receiver and the receiver which fits inside the door leaver---my guess is that this is worn out--it should provide a good interference fit on the metal bar--I suggest you contact Forrest Fine and see if Rob can supply a new one--if it doesn't work it will only cosst pence to buy anyway.
