May seem a silly question but help [:(]

I ordered a new nearside mirror glass for my 1998 996.

After fiiting everything seems huge with this new mirror much different to the orginal, the part number is 996 731 035 01

Looking at the PET CD there appears to be many options ?

Taking a guess, do I need the convex option, which is 996 731 037 01 ?

Please help !!

Thanks

Mark

Not silly at all, the PET is really confusing here. I would have chosen the same as you, but you obviously got a convex (magnifying) mirror. There doesn't seem to be another plain mirror listed for the passenger side on a pre-01 rhd car. M271 is an aspheric lens (with the outer portion angled outwards), and the 037 01 mirror is convex, so 035 01 would be the logical choice. Did you check the part number on the packaging? I would take it back, and get them to investigate.

Richard,

The number on the box is 035 01 and the sticker inside the mirror says 035 01, so I am at a loss here.

I am stopping in at PCT cars today who are going to check for me.

Thanks

Mark
