Door Mirror repositions itself

Hi All - My drivers door mirror seems to randomly set itself so it is pointing downwards - I have yet to discover when this occurs - whether it moves when I leave the car or when I put the key back in. I have tried resetting the memory functions and saving them but it still persists in moving. What I find strange is that it does'nt do this every time. Anyone experience this or have any ideas - your thoughts would be most appreciated Cheers PJ - 997-2

PJ hi, on both of our cars the mirrors go down when we select reverse. I believe it’s to help with parallel parking? Ours also both come back up after a couple of yards going forwards. Could that explain what you’re observing? Hope that helps, Nigel

My daily, another German brand, is the same.

Passenger door mirror is left dipped if I switch off in reverse.. but corrects in next start up
