Door mirror!

New member
I have a rather unattractive door mirror at the mo, a large square black plastic 80's number and also black plastic horn grills.

So my question is has any one got a chrome mirror or horn grills or know the best place to source them.

I've an early, round chrome mirror spare.
Its new / never fitted.

£30?

What year is your car?

I've got an early (from a 66) round chrome one - needs a piece of glass cutting and fitting (any glass cutter could do it) - yours for £10

Top responses! The car is a 69 is there any change on the mounts?
"racing" aerodynamic style? What dose one of these look like Nick?

Just a thought my car's left hand drive, so I'll need a left hand door mirror.
Can you get them for the right? Might be handy"¦..

mines from a LHD but I think I'm right in saying it will be smaller than the ones fitted to a 69.

MINES THE BEST - the rest are crap. CHEAP crap.

Mine will make you car go faster and look great.

just jokin!

The round (stainless steel) Durant mirrors Factory-fitted to early 911's were not 'handed' - ie the same mirror will fit on either side of the car.

There were 2 different versions - 1 for the '65-'67 models (same as fitted to the 356C) & a different (slightly larger head) version for '68-'71 models.

If you wish to fit a second mirror on the passenger's side please note that it should not be fitted in an identical position as the one on the driver's side - it needs to be fitted further back or you will not be able to see anything in it !

Andy is 100% correct

I have a 66 car with the small Durant mirror - if you mount them in the same place it is very difficult even to see the mirror let alone see anything in it!

£30 for a new one is cheap.

Nick that looks like a booster rocket not a mirror!

Chickybok, what age is yours? Can you bring it to the ace cafe meet?

Thanks for all your help folks.

I don't have a mirror for sale but if any one wants to give me any money then that's fine [:D][:D][:D][:D]

I have seen Chickybok's mirror and it is mint [:D]
