door rattle

Hi all, since I have had my car wrapped, I have noticed a constant annoying buzzing, rattling sound from the passenger door. it's clear where it is coming from and dare I say it I didn't notice it before the wrap. the door interior had to be taken off and they have either left something inside the door or broken a catch.

any suggestions? do you think Porsche main dealer would not entertain fixing this, even though I bought it new from them only 6 months ago?

anyone ever tried to fix rattles themselves?

I think it needs to go back to the rapper. Dr Dre perhaps[:D]

You'll be lucky to get the opc involved

I have spoken to Dr Dre and they said there was very little sound deadening in the door trim and they defo did not break any catches.. there have always been a few annoying noises from the cabin, but just more noticeable now..

I will see what the opc says.

Good luck, let us know how you get on. OPCs are variable in helpfulness according to experiences on here.

well I have spoken to my dealer and they agree that taking the door panel off will not void the warranty. so they are picking it up and taking it away for a day or so to test and replace both door catches. I asked them to put some sound deadening in and material (dynamat or similar I think) between the door and the card and they agreed!

great result. well done Porsche!

Just had my door rattle sorted, was the plastic behind the door handle that rattled terribly at about 1200 rpm (or louder music).

Had to go in twice for it.

good info, thanks for that. I will make sure they address the handles. if you push the inner door panel anywhere there is a lot of give/movement in it and it does stop the buzz/rattle...

Yep, pressing it there stopped it (for 5 seconds). I narrowed it down to that bit of plastic that made the rattle stop immediately when pushing it whilst on the rest of the door card I had to push harder to get it to stop.
