Door Removal

Hi guys,

I'm looking for some instructions or advise on removing the door from my 993 C2S. Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Al

It's actually very easy :
Unplug the 2 electric connectors below the dash on the side of the door.
Pull the cables out of the door post.
Remove the clip/pin of the door stay.
Remove the 2x 3 bolts with a 13mm socket while a helper is holding the door.

I saw this done in a garage once, and they put a blanket down before starting, so you have somewhere to put the door once its off.

Thanks guys. Any issue with the alarm when doing this? It's the standard original Porsche alarm.

Cheers,

Al

No problem with the alarm. It's just the same as if the door is open.
If you want it differently, just remove the door contact so the metal housing doesn't make contact with the chassis anymore.
