Door Speaker Upgrade

Hi,

Sorry to ask a question that may have been covered before... search didn't pull out any results so here goes...

I'd like to upgrade the speakers in my 2004 boxster... don't want to destroy any existing panels, looking for replacement speakers that will drop in the factory locations.

My car has the PSP, so includes door speakers and the amp up front. Now, i understand the doors are 5.25" mid-range units. I had the same query in my 993, which had 5.25" speakers in the door, but JL Audio made a 6" speaker that fit exactly in the original mounting location.

Anyone know if a 6" speaker will fit in the boxster too ? I know a lot of people recommend 6.5" speakers but then it involves new door panels which i dont want to do...

Any thoughts/views appreciated!
