Door Wiring Harness for Speakers

Can anyone advise please? I have the opportunity to buy 2 x complete doors from an '89 S2 to replace those on my '90 Turbo. I intend to swap across the door cards from the Turbo (complete with 10 speaker fit). If I recall correctly, the S2 is only rigged for standard speakers, whereas mine clearly has additional wiring for the additional speakers. The question is: do all cars come with a standard wiring loom from car into the doors, thus enabling the connection of either 'standard speaker fit' or '10 speaker version' within the doors themselves? Sounds a bit convoluted, but I hope you see what I mean...! Any info gratefully received. Thanks.

Maybe. My 10 speaker equipped door had the wiring for the stardard speaker as I recall. Alternatively the door looms plug in under the dash so you could just swap thewm between the doors.

I'd rather have door pockets anyway - the 10 speaker system isn't any better than the 4 speaker IMO.
