Hello,
Ended up with a "Check Engine - Visit Workshop" light. As the car was running rough and it was wet; almost assumed it might be a coil pack issue. The car has 65k miles and to my knowledge the original coil packs are still on the car; '06 3.8 X51. We decided on all coil packs and spark plugs. Later on the lift a corroded brake pipe was identified. As the bleed screws on the calipers are seized they are wanting me to comment to a charge of £2400 for the work, just in case they twist off a bleed nipple / screw. I almost understand this. As I have done more brake jobs than I can count on my hands I told them no. Question is; .... are the PCCB calipers the same as non-PCCB equipped cars? I know the discs are insanely expensive, but surely the calipers are not or are they? Meanwhile the car is drives great. Hence it is something I can get into later. Actually the OPC Porsche Aberdeen has been very forthcoming, fair and good to deal with.
