Is there any body going to the NEC for the classic and sports car show in oct? if so how do you fancy doing some dream rides for childrens charaties in your pride and joy?

Some of us have been doing it for years, and a great day it is.

Sporting Bears are really good fun - mixed cars/people, and a great day out.
You meet really nice people, and enjoy driving your pride and joy for charity.
What more can you ask for ?

Please go for it.

Sorry, have I hijacked this a bit ?

Hi John
Sounds like fun will see you there , Hopefullywe will be doing this event ourselves if we can get the brakes done in time? Mike has contacted us from sporting bears who organises the dream rides and he is looking for around 30 cars per day to help out with the dream rides.

Basically, Sporting Bears/Dream Rides consists of the following:-

Agreeing with Sporting Bears for your car to be there. You will/should get free entance tickets.
They set a price for passenger(s) to ride in your car - you driving - and they suggest a route. I never stick to the route because I get lost/enjoy talking to the passenger(s)/want to give them good value for money. The routes are on public roads, so speed limits etc. all apply.
You agree to be available for a certain minimum number of rides (more, if you want to), and you chose the time that you are available.
You pay for the petrol, all the money raised will be paid directly to Sporting Bears people.

So, someone wants a ride in your car, you turn up at your car (special parking), drive them round, have fun, bring them back.

Porsches are popular, as are Ferrari/Lambo, and even a Fiat CincoCento !

I am a member of SB, and have been for a number of years.
