Dremel advise

Evening all, looking at doing the clear rear indicator conversion and wondered if anyone could suggest which model dremel I should buy? Maplins are selling an 18V Rotary tool kit and 61-pc asseccort pack for £14.99 at the mo. Would that suffice? Cheers, bennyboy.

Ben,

From the voice of experience buy the one that "DREMEL" on it. I bought one of the cheap things from Maplins years ago and it was useless. It had no power and was totally pathetic. I bought a Dremel from Costco and it's brilliant. It'll last you for years and do anything you ask of it.

Regards

Dave

I wouldnt of thought it matters that much, ive got a cheapo one from woolworths and use that, its plug in which is handy as battery powered one seem to last all of 30mins then you have to charge them for 3 hours!

I have a cheapo B&Q one. Or maybe I don't as I threw it away; I really don't remember. That I might have thrown it away says enough; I'm with Dave, buy a Dremel.

I have a Dremel its great, definately a case of where investing a little more gives better value and performance in the long run.. I have the 300 series, works a treat and not too expensive.

Doesn't have to be a "Dreml" per se, but definitely get a decent one. I have a Draper one, which has served me well for the last few years.
