We'd like to invite you to join us for an enjoyable full day drive out, starting at Tebay by the M6. We'll drive some spectacular, remote and scenic roads, enjoy a tasty light lunch at the infamous Tan Hill Inn and win frankly unbelievable prizes in a fun, optional, observational quiz based on the route.
LUNCH : This is a set light lunch of homemade veggie soup, a filled roll, chips to share and tea/coffee at £8 per person. Of course you could order your own extras in the pub should you wish.
Please select in advance from ham and tomato / cheese and tomato or tuna mayo filled roll
10.00am Meet in the café at Junction 38 Truckstop in Tebay, off M6 Junction 38. Note: this is open to cars even though the Truckstop signs say trucks only. Keep to left at Truckstop entrance for car park.
Fuel available (not super 97 though I'm afraid)
10.15/10.30am Depart for Eden Valley drive and quiz
2.00ish Light lunch at Tan Hill Inn ...the highest pub in England (1750 ft asl)"¦a pub with real character!
1.00pm Leave for North Pennines drive and continued quiz
3.00pm ish Coffee and quiz answers / prizes at a venue to be confirmed
3.30pm Goodbyes and depart for home
Full route details will be given out on the day. The route will be approx. 125 miles (Tebay to Tebay) on a great variety of roads and scenery, part of which may well be new to you.
If you'd like to join us please let me know details of numbers, what roll(s) you'd like for lunch, what car you might be in and your contact details.
We look forward to seeing you.
