Drive and Lunch, Sunday 10th January

We have a drive organised to the Borders, starting from the Dakota Hotel at Eurocentral. Meet at 10.00am for those that wish a quick coffee and departure at 10.30. The lunch is organised at The Mill Inn at Coulter near Biggar for 12.30. Those who wish to go must confirm prior to the event or will not be included for lunch.

[FONT=calibri"]*** Updated route due to road closure at Shotts***[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

[FONT=calibri"]M8 heading east exit at Newhouse and follow signs for Newmains. Continue into Newmains and at the main central roundabout (facing Asda superstore) turn left (2nd exit) onto A71 next roundabout keep left following A71. After Allanton turn right onto the B715 through Climpy to Forth, turn left thu Forth main street turning right onto B7016 thru Braehead to Carnwath. Turn left when road meets A70 thru Carnwath forking right onto A721 follow road thru Newbigging > Elsrickle > Melbourne (12 miles approx) @ junction turn right onto A72 forking left onto A701 thru Broughton > Crookhaugh > Glenbreck (still on A701) before you hit Moffat turn right onto B719 follow road across motorway bridge and turn right onto the old A74. Continue on this road thru Abington to Abington Services, at this roundabout pick up the signs for Biggar A702 (small round about a mile along right keep right for Biggar) the Coulter Mill Inn is about 9 miles on the right along A702 before you meet Biggar. Just to dispel the myth that my cars only come out in good weather - only the hardened few out yesterday !
 
Well done for those that got out yesterday - most impressed !
In addition to suffering food poisoning on return form Cuba we returned home to 5 inches of snow in the drive meaning I couldn't even get the car out the garage !

Look forward to the next run now - hopefully in better conditions.
