It didn't start off too promisingly yesterday ! I was hoping to call in to pick up an intermittent wipe relay from Alasdair on the way down but unfortunately he didn't have any . Then there was a 944 Turbo for sale in the Glasgow area which i'd been looking forward to having a nosey at but when i checked the companys web site they were an internet based company without a physical show room so had to knock that idea on the head as i couldn't justify phoning to make an appointment just to kick tyres . Then the worsted part , I'd arranged to view and almost definitely buy a bargain set of D90's with decent tyres which had been advertised on Gumtree for £130 . They were being sold by a "youth" in the Glasgow area who claimed they were off his grandads 911 (suspect some ones pride and joy may have been on bricks somewhere in the central belt [8|]) . However as I was about to leave i noticed a text message that I'd missed on my phone telling me the wheels had now been sold . I was fuming by this point and spent the 300 mile trip down south bitterly cursing the futility and injustice of life .Stevie thats a cracking round trip I have to say!!
Still the suns out today , I might have found a set of teledials down here in the North East and once my chain smoking Dad has cleared his lungs (a morning ritual that takes a couple of hours ) its off to the lakes we go .
