My first post here, and hopefully not my last.
Just wanted to say what an awesome day out i had last sunday on the drive out around north Essex.
A beautifull day, great roads, and nice people.
The three highpoints of the day were following the guy in the new silver GT3 at a fair old lick till we caught the pack up after the lights,
Blagging a seat a lunch after tagging along without booking (i am playing the card of ignorance, i thought i could just turn up, sorry),
The drive home with a silver 996, silver 964 and the guy in the bestickered and bewinged red 911. It has been so long since i have been out for a 'wick up' that this drive is in my top ten of deathbed memory's!
Thanks also to Greg for letting me tag along, although made it clear that people missed out due to numbers, for which i am sorry.
This is what a car club is all about, and i can't wait for more of it.
Lee.

Hi Lee,

I thought that I would give you a reply from our rather sleepy end of the forum. Until last night I didn't know that you could get email notification if someone made a post into R11. Other people have seen your post including the guy in the silver 964. He told me that his exciting driving was down to a brake failure as he came into a roundabout. I actually think that he drives cars the way he drives tractors - flat out!

Anyway we will have two more Sunday drives next year and for a change the Spring one will be a venture into Suffolk where we will find the roads that nobody else wants to drive, although we will avoid the narrow tracks that slowed us down on the last one. Sorry I did not get a picture of your unique car - maybe next time.

If you like the open road you might also fancy our overnight trip to France on April 24th. More details soon.

Best regards,

Greg

Brake failure at a roundabout?
When you get within 50ft of one flat out, then think about braking, you cant blame the brakes!
The next time I see him i will recomend an anchor, which he can launch into the roundabout, sling shot around it and release for his new trajectory.
No need for brakes then!
I am looking forward to next year for the trips out, all i have to look forward to short term is the run to the MOT garage in December!
Hope to see you at the next meet
Lee.
