Drive-out to Greenwich Maritime Museum

As I mentioned in PPost this month, Sunday 26th October is the first day of the return to Greenwich Mean Time, so I proposed a R10 drive-out to Greenwich to mark the occasion.

The run is likely to take about 1.5 hours, and to guarantee parking we will need to get down there by 10.00 am, so to be safe participants would need to depart the M1 Toddington Services by 8.15 am (- this may seem early, but remember your body-clocks will still be set to thinking it is 9.15 am!). There are no fixed lunch arrangements or return time.

Parking in the Greenwich area is always difficult, but the Royal Park Agency have agreed (as a special deal) to temporarily secure a maximum dozen spaces at Greenwich Park for Porsches at a cost of £50 plus VAT (this is not promised to be high-security, but a relatively open and visible parking area), so I am limited to the first 12 acceptances - I already have 3 vehicles including mine, leaving 9 others. The cost will be shared between those parking, so if I get less than, say, 8 cars in total I will probably cancel this event If anyone else comes, they will have to risk finding their own parking spaces.

The Royal Observatory and Maritime Museum request advance notice of groups, so please let me know by e.mail by Monday 13 October if you are (i) bringing a Porsche and (ii) how many adults/childern, etc, there will be in your party.
