Drive Shaft Support Replacement?

Hi all,
I have found the Vertex in the US as a replacement support for the Cardan drive shaft. It seems favourable as I don't need to remove the drive shaft itself, £300 after shipping.

There's also a replacement support for £99 but needs the drive shaft taking out to get it on.

Has anyone had any experience with either of these approaches, or is a whole new drive shaft for c.£700 the only sensible optio?

You can get remanufactured drive shafts i believe .have you shopped around ?
 
Hi, no I haven't shopped around for driveshafts as I was hoping that the mount would be the simplest part to replace.

I have read on various other forums that a lot of our friends across the pond like to do this job themselves, and are happy with the fix.

Keep us posted on which route you take, and what the results are!
