Drive shafts

Hi all. I am trying to remove the rear driveshaft from the car. I have removed all the bolts at both ends. The gearbox side has come off but I can't get the wheel side off despite all the bolts being removed. It appears to be rust to the hub.
Any ideas on how to free this to remove the driveshaft?

Any help would be gratefully received.

or you could try putting the bolts back in on the gearbox side, leave it in gear and try to lever the disc/hub round with a suitable rod.

good luck

The CV joint sits in a sort of 'cup' on the end of the stub axle, and sometimes the fit is quite snug.

It really is just a matter of levering it out. Try working on levering one side up, as this will break the seal and then it will come out easily.

Be warned - the whole thing feels too 'long' once it is loose, and it can be a fiddle to get it out. But it will come, honest.

Oli.
