Hi,

Any ideas? It's wet mainly at the front bottom near the speaker! No dampnes at the otherside of the door though strangely! I've booked it to be checked but i can't work it out.

Thanks,

Roy

Roy,

The seal behind your mirror has perished.

This is a fairly common problem (Had it with both my MY98 2.5 and MY01 S

How old is the car? This should be covered by warranty...

I had this after replacement of the window limit switch. The membrane behind the card is not doing its job. The OPC did replace the door seals first though - I still can't work out why. When they replaced or refitted the membrane the problem went away.

Defo sounds likea door membrane - it may have worked loose due to tired adhesiver/sealer - replacments can be obtained from the OPC for not a huge amount (its only a plastic sheet after all !)

You can DIY this - there are instructions on how to remove the door panel (albeit a 996 door) here... http://www.ecoutez.net/boxster/door-panel-removal/

Hi,

Thanks for all the advice. It's a '99 so i doubt very much they'll be taking responsibilty on warranty!!

Roy
