Drivers door flooding

I have noticed that when my car is stationary and it rains heavy, the drivers door takes in water. You can hear it sloshing around when you open/close the door. After 5 minutes of driving it completely empties!

The door seals look ok at first glance and there is no gap between glass and door skin?

Is this a common fault or has anyone else suffered from this?

Not sure about the 944 but on most cars there are drain holes in the bottom of the door as it's expected for water to get inside. I'd have a look around the bottom of the door on the inside and make sure these are clear.
