Drivers side headlight unit

This is becoming a big pain trying to replace a headlight bulb as I am unable to release the headlight unit. I can hear the mechanism moving but its not pushing the unit out.
Does anyone have experience of this and any suggestions as its getting incredibly frustrating?
Many thanks

AS you release the unit with the Allen Key type tool you should pull it towards you.

Obviously make sure you are turning it te right way.

Have you thought of trying the other side to see hoe it works. AS with all things Porsche once you've done it is easier second time around

Unlikely both are damaged!

Good luck

The removal should be fairly easy unless it has not been put back correctly previously. The removal leaver just locates in a grove underneath and turning just pushes it forward. Have a look at some videos on youtube it's normally very straightforward. when you get it out have a good look at the locating runners & make sure they are clean and not damaged. Best of luck.

Thanks chaps. Yes the other side works fine but I can hear the drivers side lever in the unit just clicking away. Sadly I have no other way of getting the headlamp unit off!

sadly not, it looks like when it goes in for a service they will sort it out. it sounds like the mechanism under the unit is broken

If you are brave enough,it will pull out with cord tucked in around outside of light, while second person playing with the lever, but you have to be brave and be careful of the lower section.
Anyway looks like you have made arrangements to get it sorted.
Best of luck.

Is the service an Indy because they will usually sort it out. Guess Porsche would just replace it

Great Idea Andy Hope I don't need it

Lots of Luck
