Drivers side window

devans

New member
Just this week as i went to open my drivers side door i found the window did not release as the window seemed to be frozen over, i think it was -3c. Problem is i think i now need to take the door lining off to see what the problem is. Does anyone have any instructions which can guide me in the right direction as i don't want to canabalise the door lining. Would also be helpfull if someone could give me a clue as to what they think the problem could be. I can still hear the motor whining , so i suppose something has eith4er dislodged or has snapped. Any help!!!!

If you send me an email, I'll attach the instructions to a reply.

I'm not quite sure what you describe. Is the motor running, but the window won't drop? If so, it's likely to be the window regulator - the cable & track assembly. If the window doesn't drop 10mm or so when you lift the handle (but goes fully up and down on the switch), then it is likely to be a microswitch in the door lock assembly.
